QR codes let people get information about your business when they are on the go.
I just launched a website for artist Jeanne Obermeier that uses QR codes (a.k.a. mobile ads) to help people learn about her ethereal paintings.
Here’s how it works: QR code is placed on or near painting with instructions for downloading a QR reader app and scanning the code with a smartphone.
Scanning the code takes visitors to an online portfolio that is optimized for mobile devices.
Result: Art admirers get information about the painting and can contact the artist on the spot.
Jeanne’s work, Solace, is featured in the Members Salon Exhibit at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. Join her for the opening reception May 26, 6 to 8 p.m. The show runs May 26 through June 23, 2011
